Using Steam, you’ll be able to access VR games other than those downloaded from the Oculus store and accessed through the headset.

VR compatibility with PC
It is imperative to consider your PC’s compatibility and suitability during connection. This is especially true if you are using a PC for virtual reality for the first time.
You need a PC that meets the minimum requirements for Oculus Link. We will be helping you with some basic requirements for a PC that would be used to play Steam VR games:
- Memory Capacity: The PC should have a memory capacity of at least 8GB and above.
- Operating System: A Windows 10 PC should be perfect.
- Processor: The PC should be equipped with a processor of at least an Intel i5-4590 or Ryzen 5 1500X.
- USB Port: The PC should feature USB 3 port/ports.
- Video Card: When it comes to video cards, you have a variety of options to choose from. For VR, you need a PC with at least an Nvidia GeForce RTX 20XX, GeForce GTX 1650 Super or higher, Nvidia Titan Z, or Titan X.
AMD’s Vega series or AMD’s 400/500/5000 series is the better choice for graphics cards.

- On your PC, type ‘system’ in the search box,
- Click on ‘System Information’ from the search result.
Invest in a high-quality USB cable
A high-quality USB cable is imperative. The default USB-C cable that comes with your headset is good enough as a start. You can also get other good-quality USB-C or USB-A cables that are long enough to allow free movement around your game area. A USB cable that is at least 10 feet in length or even longer (maybe up to 15 feet in length)
Install the appropriate software
In order to get started, you need to download the official Oculus Quest application. Through the Oculus Quest app, you can run the Oculus Link and play PC VR games using your headset.
Additionally, you must download Steam, log into your Steam account (or create an account if necessary), and install SteamVR on your PC.
USB cable for secure connection
Connect your USB cable by plugging one end into the USB port on the side of your Oculus Quest. Then, plug the other end into the USB port on the side of your PC.
Connect with Us
Put on your headset and wear it. You will receive a pop-up asking for permission to access data. Use the controller to deny it.
Use the controller to enable Oculus Link. A pop-up will appear asking you to do so.
There are two ways to start streaming VR. The first step is to run it on your desktop computer. The second is to run it on your headset via your application library.
You should now be able to run PC VR games on your Oculus Quest headset after connecting to the PC.
