5 Cheapest Touch Screen Laptops

Remember, these devices are not too high in configuration and only provide you with 2 to 4 gigabytes of RAM and 32 to 64 gigabytes of internal storage. You can find a moderate processer and rarely a graphics card.

But the fact is that the Chromebooks perform well with this hardware because of the Chrome OS. This OS is like an Android OS. You can define a Chromebook as a tablet with a keyboard.

Whatever we have researched and find the touch screen laptops under $500.

Lenovo Chromebook Flex 5 13.3″

In general, this Chromebook is perfect for what people buy for work-related tasks, surfing the web, using Google Docs to type up documents. This Chromebook is lightning fast in powering up, connecting to WiFi & Bluetooth, and opening apps & browsers.

The Screen size is non-jeopardizing; large enough for a functional workspace, but small enough to store away in a backpack easily.

Bezels are a lot smaller than most budget Chromebooks; we honestly prefer a tiny bezel to grab the screen without the mouse thinking you’re trying to press something.

The keyboard is unbelievable. Typing is speedy and responsive with a perfectly spaced key and backlit.

The Chromebook Flex laptop battery life so far is all-day. We all know how nice it is to open a Chromebook/Laptop and still have most of the juice in it.

One of the favorite things about Chromebooks is having a USB-C charging port on either side of the device.

The price is accurate for a 10th gen i3; this thing is just as fast if not faster than older-gen i5 and i7 computers. RAM hasn’t been an issue or 64 GB memory for the targeted audience.

There is only one con to this fantastic machine, and it is a minor one: opening the screen. Unlike the Pixelbook Go, this Chromebook takes two hands to open.

There is no cut-out on the screen lid, so it can sometimes be tricky to open, especially since the device is very thin. As I said, this is minor, but it is the only issue.

Overall, we can hand down recommend this device over all other Chromebooks. It is an affordable, practical, and exquisite machine.

HP 14-inch Chromebook

This device may be a widely known fact that this laptop does not use Windows and does not function like regular Mac/Windows computers – Chromebook uses its own IOS.

Because of this, you cannot use any Microsoft, cannot install a majority of programs (as they are programmed from Mac/PCs and the software is not set up for a Chromebook)

This HP 14 Chromebook was pretty decent outside of some power issues that left me dumbfounded. The touch screen was responsive, but the viewing angles were atrocious.

The battery life is outstanding, and you can multitask with ease.

If you need a laptop for browsing, emails, emails, traveling, this is an excellent option for a great price but keep in mind that this is more like a tablet with a keyboard than a laptop.

The only gripe was that the picture quality isn’t excellent, but I wasn’t expecting top-of-the-line either. For $10 more, you can get a 15.6″ Acer with touch screen IPS and a higher resolution.

Outside of this, the computer functions spectacularly! The touchscreen is responsive, the operating system is fast, and the battery is excellent.

HP Chromebook 14″

Especially if you need a laptop for your child to continue his online classes and perform his study well, HP Chromebook 14″ can be a great choice.

4GB LPDDR4-2133 SD-RAM Memory for basic multitasking with 32GB eMMC Flash Hard drive performs as expected.

Newest Flagship Acer R13 13.3″

The hardware and design of this Chromebook are perfect for the price, and it’s light and comfortable to use both as a laptop and in tablet mode.

It doesn’t feel as cheaply made as other Chromebooks around this price point. The metal body feels solid.

The screen looks pretty good for my eyes, and the touch is very responsive. The keyboard is serviceable enough for short emails and IM. The trackpad is a little stiff for my tastes and takes quite a bit of force for it to register.

You will be pretty happy with battery life. It’s being advertised for up to 12 hours. The device seems to charge pretty quickly, but it does get pretty warm.

Intel Quad-Core MediaTek MT8173C is an ARM processor. So, beware if you’re trying to run Linux on your Chromebook.

But Intel Quad-Core MediaTek MT8173C with 4GB RAM and 64GB SSD performs well. It boots fast, and the opening-closing time is also great.

Bottom line: if you know the limitations of ChromeOS, this seems like a solid choice for light to moderate computer work and web browsing.

HP Chromebook X360

HP Chromebook X360 is small and lightweight, around ‎2.98 pounds, making it more manageable when in tablet mode.

The aspect ratio of 3:2 vs. the more standard 16:9 is outstanding for primary purposes, being web browsing, email, documents, etc.

‎Intel UHD Graphics 600 is also integrated as a graphic coprocessor.

Sometimes, the apps are crashing and not responding in some models. But most often, it does not create great harm.

Overall, I would say the main selling feature with this model, beyond being an HP, was the 3:2 aspect ratios. We highly recommend this HP X360 12″ Chromebook!

HP 14″ Touchscreen Chromebook

For light word processing, replying to email, general internet browsing, watching YouTube videos, it’s more than enough.

This Chromebook offers you a 14″ LED screen for your personal uses. The screen resolution is acceptable at this price point, the same case for the pixel density.

The speaker quality is also average. The combo can give you a manageable performance of multimedia.

Bottom line: The Chromebook is not different from others in the price range. Think about your needs and make a wise decision.

Lenovo Chromebook C330

If you’re a web surfer, music listener, Netflix watcher, we highly recommend this. If you need windows intense software, then go with windows. Otherwise, we think you’ll find yourself using this as your primary device.

This device is a bright, attractive white Chromebook. You’ll find the design pleasing to the eye and appears sturdy even though it is made from plastic.

The speed is snappy, and the device responds quickly to gestures and commands. The screen soon transitions to whatever position it is in, whether laptop, tent, or tablet mode.

The battery life is good as well. The battery has allowed watching 4-5 hours of Netflix, talking on Facebook, and texting through the phone without ever getting critically low.

Overall, we were impressed with the Google OS and this device in general. If you’re on the fence about the operating system, we suggest you give it a try.

Lenovo Chromebook C340

With Google Chrome OS, Lenovo Chromebook C340 provides you with an 11.6″ 10-point multitouch screen.

The screen comes with 1366 x 768 HD resolution, which performs according to the price. The touch response is also quite decent.

4GB RAM is enough for everyday multitasking for a student or an office worker. 32GB eMMC flash memory is comparatively low, but it is enough most of the time to maintain the primary documents.

To enlarge your storage, you can use an SD card or use cloud drive (Google Drive, Mega, One Drive, Dropbox, etc.) to store.

Intel Celeron N4000 processes the essential software well and helps to switch app to app with the 4GB RAM.

The device comes with a 2-in-1 360° flip-and-fold Design with a built-in HD webcam and microphone, but it does not include a built-in DVD/CD drive.

Lenovo Chromebook C340 supports two USB C ports; both are compatible with putting a USB C to HDMI adapter, and according to the official page, it will keep Chrome OS with updates until 2026.

The edges of the screen, especially on the bottom, seem unnecessarily thick, and that’s a bummer.

Moreover, we recommend to all who will buy it to buy the 64 GB variant.

In general, we recommend this Chromebook for anyone who needs a hybrid tablet-computer or requires a device for basic tasks such as office or navigation, as well as people looking for a secondary computer.

HP Chromebook X360 14-Inch

If you are a computer power user, this product is not for you. But if you are looking for a tablet/ laptop-style device for your kids or even yourself for regular everyday use (not for significant gaming), then this device is superb.

I discovered that a Chromebook is a basic tablet that allows you to get online with the Internet and do essential computer functions such as EmailsEmails, simple games, internet searches, Educational programs, Zoom, Social connecting, and simple word processing.

This device is a straightforward machine with a small amount of storage of 32GB and onboard RAM of 4GB. That means you don’t get significant speed on refresh rates or the ability to do online Multi-Player games. But for everyday activities, this is a beautiful device.

The touchscreen is good, and the touchscreen size is excellent (larger than regular tablets or iPads).

You get a full-function keyboard, and it is light, which makes it pleasant to use as a tablet. The screen and keyboard fold entirely around so that you can hold it as a tablet.

2018 HP 14 Chromebook 14″ HD Touchscreen Laptop seems to be very effective in doing school work, sending emails, and watching videos. We’ll love the ability to access all of the Google apps so easily.

We mostly like the touchscreen feature, and the battery life on the device so far seems impressive with up to 9 hours.

The touch response and the screen resolution are pretty decent at this price point.

The webcam on this Chromebook is not the best out there. It’s just like a typical laptop webcam. It would be fine for Skype, Facebook calls.

The HP Chromebook Touch Screen comes with 4GB RAM and 32GB eMMC. Intel Celeron N3350 is a usual processor, and it can handle the primary purpose mainly used on a Chromebook.

Overall, this is an excellent computer for light and everyday use, and I think it was well worth its price.

Lenovo IdeaPad 3

It’s a surprisingly well-rounded and well-equipped budget Chromebook that doesn’t get the attention it deserves.

The 2-in-1 form factor will be fun to tinker with, but you will find it better to use a dedicated Android tablet for touch and pen tasks in practical day-to-day use.

Lenovo IdeaPad 3 is quite inexpensive, but it has a decent processor and storage. Intel Celeron N4020 with 64GB eMMC storage performs well.

Performance is more than adequate. The combination of the Celeron N4020 and the lower screen resolution results in a very smooth and responsive experience.

Surprisingly, you will find 4GB LPDDR4 RAM. The RAM quality is the best at this price, and this will help you do your multitasking with ease.

The keyboard isn’t the same as that found on Lenovo’s other laptops, but it feels stable and quite acceptable for long typing sessions. The trackpad works well and is consistent.

Battery life is extremely good with up to 10 hours; you can stay productive on the go.

Performance is more than adequate. The combination of the Celeron N4020 and the lower screen resolution results in a very smooth and responsive experience.

We’re delighted, and it will fit nicely for the users of Chromebooks.

DELL Inspiron 15

Dell Inspiron 15 costs a bit more, but this is not a Chromebook; instead, it’s a windows laptop. This 64-bit device comes with windows 8.1.

Intel Core i3-5005U 5th Gen is a capable processor at this price point. With 4GB of RAM and 500GB HDD is a lot more for any businessman, student, or personal usages.

Intel HD Graphics 5500 improves image processing, video editing, and basic streaming.

But the battery life is not great. The company advertisement the battery standby is about 6 hours. But in heavy to moderate use, you only find 4 to 5 hours. But in 2021, it’s not a significant issue.

The 15.6 inch HD screen with two stereo speakers helps you consume the expected multimedia at this price point. The touch screen quality and response are also quite decent; no complaints.

The keyboard quality is also satisfactory, but sorry to say it’s a non-backlit keyboard.

Dell Inspiron 15 is a pretty ancient laptop, but still, it services well to the users, but we recommend you go for it at this price range.
