How to Fix Playstation Move Controller Not Charging

When the controller is plugged in and charging, it will display a flashing red light until the battery is completely refilled. The red light will cease blinking once the battery is fully charged.

You can try a couple of things if this does not work.

What should I do if my PS Move Controller does not charge?

For reset, you will need the USB micro type V cable, which you need to insert, and you will see red blinking once connected.

The red blink has disappeared after pressing the reset button.

Connect the PS4 console now.

By briefly pressing the reset button on the back of the controller, you can detach the controller from the console if the buttons don’t respond.

Connect the controller to the PlayStation console with the USB cable. Press the PS button to pair the devices.

The motherboard may have to be replaced if the controller fails to pair.

If only one of your PS4 Move Motion Controllers isn’t working, what can you do?

You need to find another solution if you have tried resetting it several times and there is still some red blinking.

For the motion control to work, you need to turn off the PS4 console, then turn it back on. Here is how to do it:

Turn off the PS button on your motion controller that is working.

The Quick Menu will appear after you hold the button for a couple of seconds.

Press Turn off PS4 under Power on the left.

Press P now.

If you press the PS button on the one that doesn’t work, it should turn it back on in a few seconds.

Now, both remotes should work.

The PS Move controller won’t turn on if none of the methods mentioned above worked. The USB cable or charging port may be defective.

Check that the charging port on the console is properly plugged in. In the case where the controller is plugged in properly and the red light continues to blink after several hours of charging, the cable may malfunction. Corroded metal chips in the USB cable may prevent the console from connecting to the console.

Make sure you are using a genuine cable. Using a different cable might result in problems.

It will not function properly if the cable is not specifically designed for the controller. Additionally, the cable requirements may not be compatible with the controller’s powering standards. The first thing you need to do is locate the original USB charging cord for the device. To see if it works, buy a new cord.

If the controller’s charging port is damaged, you may be able to replace it with a new one. You can also replace the charging port yourself by following a repair guide.
